Varadero beach of also known as Playa Azul 🏊 it is located in the Hicacos peninsula of Matanzas province, about 150 km from Havana.
Making a little history, neighbors of Cárdenas city built some houses 🏠 in the midnineteenth century attracted by its transparent waters and fine sand 🚣
A strong storm 🌀 demolished these constructions but they continued with their effort to create Varadero´s town 🌅 that was founded of official way in December 1887.
Over time, this spa began to take its well-deserved fame and today is one of the main destinations for Cubans and foreigners 😎 considered one of the best beaches ⛱ in the world for its warm, crystalline waters and white sands.
It is not known for sure the origin of its name, there are versions that were marine that were stranded in these beaches due to boat breaks.⛵
If you are in Varadero and you are a lover of diving , do not miss Coral Beach, it is one of the largest coral reefs in Cuba where you can appreciate corals, fish and backgrounds with singular beauty. 📷

La playa de Varadero también conocida como la Playa Azul, 🏊 está situada en la península de Hicacos provincia de Matanzas, a unos 150 km de La Habana.
Haciendo un poco de historia, vecinos de la ciudad de Cárdenas construyeron algunas viviendas 🏠 a mediados del siglo XIX atraídos por sus aguas transparentes y arena fina. 🚣
Un fuerte temporal 🌀 derribó estas edificaciones pero continuaron con su empeño de crear el poblado de Varadero 🌅 el cual fue fundado de manera oficial el Diciembre de 1887
Con el paso del tiempo, este balneario comenzó a tomar su merecida fama y hoy en día es uno de los destinos principales para cubanos y extranjeros, 😎 considerada una de las mejores playas ⛱ del mundo por sus aguas cálidas, cristalina y arenas blancas.
No se sabe a ciencia cierta el origen de su nombre, existen versiones que fueron marinos que quedaban varados en estas playas debido a roturas de los barcos. ⛵
Si estas en Varadero y eres amante del buceo, no te pierdas Playa Coral, es una de las barreras coralinas más grandes de Cuba donde podrás apreciar corales, peces y fondos con belleza singular. 📷
