Motorboat
"La Lanchita" is a popular ferry ⛴ that departs from Emboque de Luz a port in Havana. The ferry has departures everyday to the towns of Regla and Casa Blanca. They are located on the other side of the bay. The journey takes only a few minutes and they commence in the early hours  馃寚 of the morning, and continue until midnight.

"Muelle de La Luz"

More than 200 years ago, the population used rowboats  馃殻  and sailboats ⛵ to transport travelers, and merchandize to the other side of Havana bay.

If you are visiting the city one must not miss this experience. It is far cry from the cuban hussle and bussle of regular transport. The boat offers beautiful scenery, the sound of the sea, and the breeze of the bay. It will make your trip unforgettable. It is a cuban tradition to throw a coin in the sea and make a wish to La Virgen de Regla which is bay´s patroness.

Iglesia Catedral de San Isidoro de Holgu铆n

It was declared the fourth city of the island in 1752. Its name comes from the Captain Francisco Garc铆a de Holgu铆n who received as a reward some lands located at the north of the eastern part of Cuba for his performance in the conquest of Mexico.

Because of the urban´s layout shape it is known as the "parks´city" which have in their surroundings the most important cultural institutions and shops.

It is a city with cultural traditions among which stand out "Las Romer铆as de Mayo" that start at the central park area with a car parade and culminates with a concert at the top of Loma de La Cruz. Another relevant cultural event is the Poor Film Festival held in Gibara

Loma de la Cruz
La Loma de La Cruz, formerly known as "Cerro Bayado", has an elevation around 261 meters above level sea. It is one of the must-see sites where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Its current name comes from the wooden cross that was placed in 1790 by a Franciscan friar. "Las Romer铆as de Mayo" had their origin in this place.

The Holguin´s north coast is an exotic sceneries area composed by mountains, plains and white sand beaches that becomes this territory in a peculiar and attractive place.

Santiago de Cuba is one of the first of seven villages 馃彔 馃彙 founded by the Spanish conquistador Diego Vel谩zquez in 1515 and was considered the first capital of the island until 1556 when San Crist贸bal de La Habana was named the capital of Cuba.

The first black slaves arrived to the country through Santiago bay, which gave rise to the fusion of our African and Spanish roots. Considered the second capital of the country is surrounded by mountains and sea with its hospitable and cheerful people. The city emanates history that intertwines with culture and offers a variety of sites that will not go unnoticed by those who visit it.

“Ciudad H茅roe de Cuba” (Cuba's Heroic City), name awarded because of the participation of the people in the struggles for the freedom of the Cubans. Note that there is no street or corner in Santiago that has not been trodden by a hero.

It's steep streets, colonial buildings with large windows and narrow balconies in addition to the beauty of a natural 馃寗 and exotic scenery make Santiago de Cuba a special city.

From Havana to Santiago you can travel by Viazul buses 馃殟, the trip takes around 14 hours with intermediate stops. You can also get there by plane ✈in about an hour and a half approx.
